Whats In My Makeup Bag

Hello Lovelies!

I have seen a few of these posts floating around on Bloglovin. I have read quite a lot of them and I really enjoyed reading them. I personally like to read the whats in my makeup bag and whats in my bag posts etc because I find it interesting to see what other people like to carry around with them. (I'm also rather nosy).

For me the most important part of my day to day makeup bag is primer and foundation. I like to use primer every day because I find my makeup stays on and looking fresh all day. At the moment I am using Max Factor Face Finity All Day Primer. I really like this primer as it works really well with my skin. I have recently discovered that using a primer every day has really improved my skin, now if I don't use a primer underneath my foundation I break out! the Max Factor primer glides so soothly over the skin, it doesn't feel heavy after it has been applied and it leaves a sooth surface on your face so the foundation applies much soother! For foundation I am using Max Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless 3in1 Foundation. I have been using this foundation for about 2 weeks now. I bought it when my Rimmel Wake me up foundation run out. I wanted to try a new foundation because I realised that it was my Rimmel foundation that was making my skin really oily and causing breakouts. since using Face Finity my skin is much less oily and my foundation lasts all day! I defiantly recommend you try this foundation if you have oily skin!

For concealer I am currently using Rimmel Wake me up concealer. I am really liking this concealer because it is full coverage without being 'cakey'. I like to use this concealer on any blemishes and I also like to use it as an under-eye highlighter.

To set my foundation and concealer I am using the Rimmel Clear Complexion powder. I normally used Rimmel stay matte but I was getting bored of it and wanted to try something new. I personally don't notice any difference between the two powders because I use the transparent powder for both. I like to use transparent or translucent powder because it makes my foundation stay in place all day and reduces any oil in my T-zone. The powder is translucent so it doesn't change or add any colour to your face it just adds that little bit more reassurance and protection to make sure your foundation says put all day.

For blush and contour i am using the ELF contouring duo. I really like to use this duo for day to day use because it is very affordable. The blush has small flecks of glitter in it, it isn't ver pigmented which I actually like because it gives your cheeks a natural peachy flush. As for the bronzer it is for some reason more pigmented than the blush. It is also very dark and can be difficult to blend so it does take more time to blend it, but when it does blend it gives a gorgeous bronzed look to your face. You can't really be surprised because it is a very affordable brand but I do really like this duo all in all.

I am currently using ELF baked blush as a highlight for the tops of my cheek bones. Even though it is supposed to be a blush it is very shimmery and more 'white' toned so I figured it looked better as a highlighter. I really like to use this highlight day to day to add some light and definition to my face. i love it!

For my eyebrows I am using Maybelline Brow satin. I really like this brow product because not only does it have a pencil end to fill your brows in it also has a powdered sponge end. I really like to use the powdered sponge end for shaping my brows from my nose because it is softer and more natural looking. what i really like about this particular brow product is that it isn't a pencil so it doesn't need to be sharpened it is a wind up style which is so much easier.

For eye liner I am using Miss Sporty The meyow. I really like this eyeliner because it is a felt-tip style liquid liner. It makes applying eye liner so much easier. It certainly makes cat flicks much easier in the mornings.

Finally the last product in my makeup bag is my Benefit they're real mascara. This is by far my favourite mascara. I have really short eyelashes but this mascara does wanders for them. It makes my eyelashes seem longer and thicker. A lot of people love this mascara and I can really see why. I think all girls need this mascara in their collection!!

    1. You definitely should try it out. It is so so good. I prefer it as a highlighter but it would look beautiful as a blush also. I'll have a look right now xx
