Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette 1st Impressions

Friday, 7 August 2015

Hello Lovelies!

I am sure you are all aware of Urban Decays anticipated new release, the Naked Smoky Palette. I for one genuinely squealed when I saw that Urban Decay were going to be releasing this palette. I love the Naked palettes I already have the original and the Naked 3. From what I can see the Smoky palette is perfect for me.

Firstly I would like to say...How pretty is this packaging! This is by far my favourite packaging out of all of the Naked palettes. What I love mostly about this packaging is it feels much more secure than the others. The original Naked palette is cardboard and velvet which is pretty but gets so dirty! Then the Naked 3 is metal which is better then the cardboard but the Naked Smoky is by far the best the plastic feels much more sturdy and looks beautiful with the smoky effect.

As you can see this palette has the most beautiful colours! You could make so many different smoky eye looks with these 12 colours. there are some light, dark, matte and metallic shades. My favourite Shades in this palette are High, DirtySweet and Smoulder.

Here are swatches of all the colours in the palette. The names of all of the shades from left to right are...High, DirtySweet, Radar, Armor, Slanted, Dagger, Black Market, Smoulder, Password, Whiskey, Combust and Thirteen. All of these colours are really smooth to apply and they are also all really pigmented. as you can see the second from last shade isn't clear at all, it is pigmented it is just a similar colour to my skin tone.

If you are thinking about purchasing the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette I would defiantly say go for it. It is a little on the pricey side retailing at £38 but it is so worth it. I was so lucky to be abe to get my hands on this on the release date because it sold out so quickly. Luckily the palette is back in stock on the UK website and it has also been released in Selfridges.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I would love it if you could sign up to my blog to be notified for future posts and for you to comment what your opinions on the Smoky palette are.
