Top 5 books read this year // Blogtober #6

Tuesday, 6 October 2015

Hey Lovelies,

Today I thought I would share with you my top 5 books read this year so far. I am a self confessed book worm (which I am proud of). I don't understand how people don't like reading. I couldn't imagine not reading.
The books are in no particular order.

The Kihanna saga - Mercy Amare

I know this series isn't just 1 book but I couldn't pick my favourite. This series is about a normal girl who lives with her mum, she has never met her dad when all of a sudden he turns out to be an owner of a social media company and is worth billions. She has to move in with him and her new stem mum and step brother. she finds it hard to adjust to being extremely rich. But she then also has to deal with being stalked by someone in her new town. This series is a young adult, it is aimed at younger teens but I read them during a reading slump. They are fast paced which made me want to read more.

Captivated by you (Crossfire #4) - Sylvia Day

This book is the 4th book in the crossfire series. This series of books is very similar to the fifty shades of grey trilogy. Sylvia Days effortless writing simply 'captivates you' I know this book has been controversial. But I personally loved it. This series is worth reading if you like fifty shades.

Intensity - Dean Koontz

This book is something I'm not used to reading. I usually read romance books but my sister recommended this author to me and we both decided to read it at the same time. I loved this book the suspense was so gripping and had me gripped. The only issue I have with this book is that some sections are dragged out unnecessarily and became quite tedious to read but after getting through that it was an amazing book and I really want to try out some more of Dean Koontz books.

We Were Liars - E. Lockhart

This book had me gripped after the first page. I loved all of the characters and I was rooting for two of the characters. This isn't your typical love story...The huge twist at the end is exactly that Huge! I was not expecting it at all!

This Is What Happy Looks Like - Jennifer E. Smith

This book is your typical cutsey teen love story. It was such a perfect light summer read. I read this book in about 2 sittings. It was the type of book, where I finished the last page and sat in silence appreciating how sweet it was (I know its sad).

What was your favourite book you have read this year?

  1. I really like the look of we were liars, might see if it's on Audible :)

    1. I think it it on audible, It was such a good book. Ive never used audible before might give it a go! -xo
