Direct Cosmetics Review

Friday, 26 February 2016

Hi lovelies!

Recently I was one of the bloggers selected to work with a company called Direct Cosmetics. Direct Cosmetics are a company who sell beauty products ranging from perfume to makeup at a discounted price. What I like most about this particular discount website is not only do they have amazing deals on drugstore products but they also have many high end brands too, ranging from Lancome to Estee Lauder.

I was given the opportunity to select up to £25 worth of products to review. I chose the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream, the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum, Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling & Bourjois 3 Little Round Pots Eye Shadows.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream
This product is a balm which claims to help and protect chapped skin. I chose this because I get extremely day and cracked lips, the fact that this is an all purpose balm really appealed to me. I have only used this product a couple of times and so far I am really liking it. The only negative thing I have to say about this product is it doesn't taste very nice when on the lips, which isn't an issue for me as the product seems to work really well.

Revlon Kissable Lip Stain - Darling
This lipstain/balm is such a pretty purple, what I love most about this colour is it isn't too outrageous, it looks natural yet unique at the same time. This the perfect product to use when my lips are chapped, I find that when my lips are dry lipstick looks terrible, so something more nourishing looks and feels a lot better.

Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair
I have wanted to try this product out for such a long time but I have put off buying it because it is so expensive. I saw a miniature sized one on the website which I thought would be perfect for me to try the product out so I don't have to fork out a lot of money for a product I might not like.

Bourjois 3 Little Round Pots
I have heard so many good things about Bourjois products and I must admit I haven't ever really used them. I have heard a lot of good things about their eyeshadows which is why I chose to get this cute little set. the shadows are really pigmented which is a bonus, I thought these shadows would be perfect on a day where I am either running late or want to wear minimal makeup, the shades create a really pretty and subtle smoky eye look.

Direct Cosmetics really is worth checking out, they have so many bargains on their website, I for sure will be making a huge order soon!

    1. It is such a good site, I am signed up to a website called the blogger programme. The brands run campaigns with certain requirements (10,000 Instagram followers for example) if you fit the criteria then apply and the brand will contact you if you've been successful :) -xo
