Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette

Wednesday, 3 February 2016

Hi Loves!

As i'm sure most of you know, Gwen Stefani collaborated with Urban Decay and created a limited edition collection. The collection included an eyeshadow palette, a blush palette, a brow box, 6 lip pencils and 8 lipsticks. As much as I would have loved to bought and review the entire collection my bank account just wouldn't stretch that far so I decided to pick one of the products I liked the look of the most out of the collection.

This palette is so stunning, not only is the packaging to die for, the shades are also gorgeous. this palette comes with 15 shades ranging from matte to shimmer. The main thing I love about this palette is that it has all of the perfect shades for a smoky eye but it also has a bight pink and an electric blue for a pop of colour. I love that it has both matte and shimmer shades which can not only make their own looks but can also be mixed together. All of these shadows are really pigmented and feel so creamy when swatched, they blend out really well which is a must! I think the only negative thing I have to say about this palette is the very last shade 'blackout' is rather chalkey, having said that it still applies really well so it isn't too bad. You can see it is chalkey in my swatches below.

As you can see these eyeshadows are so beautiful, they are amazingly pigmented and are so creamy! the very last colour 'blackout' is slightly chalkey as I mentioned above but it isn't too bad it still applies really nicely.

colours from left to right: Blonde, Bathwater, Skimp, Steady, Punk, Baby, Anaheim, Stark, Zone, Serious, Pop, Harajuku, Danger, 1987 & Blackout.

Finally I just wanted to mention these samples as I think they are so amazing! Inside the box with the palette came 4 samples of some of the Gwen Stefani Lipsticks. Also I had the piston to tick two boxes to receive two samples at the checkout which obviously I did! These samples are amazing! one of them is a little box with 7 eyeshadow samples and an eye primer. The second is a very generous sample of the 24/7 eyeliners.

All in all I love this palette so much, I have used it practically everyday since I got it. Having said that I am slightly gutted I didn't buy the blush palette as well...but it is still on sale so who knows! (yep I have a shopping addiction).

Do you have anything from this collection? if not what products would you most want?

  1. You can purchase the blush palette from feelunique and if you are a student and have a unidays account you can get £7 off it! (or you could email me and i could send you the discount code lol) it's 20% off just for this month. I liked the palette too but the shades seemed on the lighter side and I know half of the first and second row wouldn't suit me :/ even still, the lip pencil in ex girlfriend is calling my name! I will definitely be picking that up!xx
